Big River Crossing
If a longer ride appeals to you, The Big River Crossing is one you have to put on your bucket list. As the longest pedestrian and bike bridge over the Mississippi River, it connects West Memphis, Arkansas, to downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Stretching an impressive 5,000 feet, the bridge offers breathtaking views of the river and the Memphis skyline and at night is illuminated by the Mighty Lights - an LED masterpiece that creates a mesmerizing display that reflects off the water.
Big River Trail
Featuring a 7-mile paved loop through the West Memphis floodplain that runs next to the Mississippi River, the Big River Trail is a must-do for family, group or individual rides. The trail offers vistas overlooking the downtown Memphis skyline, as well as stunning views of the natural woodlands, providing a variety of scenic opportunities. The trailhead is conveniently located and easily accessible, making it an ideal starting point for a ride.
Ducks Unlimited Park
The Ducks Unlimited Park is located directly across the river from downtown Memphis, and includes a 7-mile paved loop and a 0.5-mile out-and-back trail. The park boasts stunning views of the Mississippi River, Memphis skyline and West Memphis agriculture, including a seasonal sunflower field. U.S. Bicycle Route 80
If you are a cyclist interested in long-distance rides, the U.S. Bicycle Route 80 (USBR 80) passes through West Memphis. Beginning at the Tennessee State line, the route continues past West Memphis through many Arkansas cities that include Marianna, Clarendon and Stuttgart, before ending at the Big Dam Bridge in North Little Rock.
